Biografia

Blues Traveler ist eine amerikanische Musikgruppe, die 1987 in Princeton, New Jersey, gegründet wurde. Ihr Hauptgenre ist Bluesrock mit Einflüssen aus Folk und Jam Band. Die ursprüngliche Besetzung bestand aus John Popper (Gesang, Harmonika), Chan Kinchla (Gitarre), Tad Kinchla (Bass) und Brendan Hill (Schlagzeug). Blues Traveler erlangte internationale Bekanntheit 1994 mit ihrem vierten Album *Four*, das in den USA über vier Millionen Exemplare verkaufte. Das Album brachte zwei kommerzielle Erfolge hervor: "Hook" und "Run Around", wobei letzterer 1996 einen Grammy Award für die beste Rock-Gesangsdarbietung eines Duos oder einer Gruppe gewann. Weitere erfolgreiche Alben sind *Straight On Till Morning* (1995) mit dem Single "Carolina Blues". Blues Traveler produziert weiterhin Musik und touren weltweit, und genießt eine treue Fangemeinde.
