Anathema ist eine englische Band aus Liverpool, die 1990 gegründet wurde. Sie gelten als Pioniere des Death/Doom-Metal und haben mit Alben wie „The Crestfallen“ und „Serenitas“ den Gothic-Metal-Sound der 1990er Jahre geprägt.
