My Shameful è una band di doom/death metal con membri finlandesi, tedeschi e americani. Il gruppo presenta anche forti influenze del funeral doom. Originata come progetto di studio a due persone in Finlandia nel 1999, ha registrato tre demo e tre album. Le demo sono state registrate con Sami Rautio e Harri Jussila come membri partecipanti, mentre gli album hanno visto Sami Rautio come unico membro. La formazione è stata completata nel 2004 con il batterista Mark Napier, il bassista Twist e il chitarrista Mario. My Shameful si è separata da Mark Napier nella primavera del 2007, trovando un nuovo batterista in Jurgen Frohling. Nel corso del 2007, My Shameful ha registrato il suo quarto album in studio completo, "Descend". A causa del trasferimento di Sami Rautio in Finlandia, l'album è stato registrato in diversi luoghi nel corso del tempo.
