Raunchy ist eine dänische Thrash-Metal-Band, die 1992 in Aarhus von Jesper Tilsted, Jesper Kvist und Morten Toft Hansen gegründet wurde. Anfangs spielten sie Metallica- und Slayer-Coverversionen. 1994 stießen Lars Vognstrup und Lars Christensen zum Band hinzu. 1995 nahmen sie ihre erste Demoaufnahme in den Borsing Studios in Aarhus auf, wobei der Song "Space Story" auf der Compilation Extremity Rising vol. 1 veröffentlicht wurde.
