If a friend, or a foe, or least someone that you've known
Disappears from the soil of this sphere
Then only then, will you know, that a version of yourself
Will fade away and never re-appear
So, if they're close, hold on to the ones you trust
'Cause this world can cut the roots of your love
And, give the goods to yourself, 'cause you know you've been through hell
What's left are visions called for show and tell
Whatever it is, whatever you said
Will it hurt to reach out here to make amends?
Running out of time, out of time for a godsend
I'll show my love to the very end
There's a fire with no flame, with its embers in my name
'Cause I ran away, to never face the shame
It left a world, oh so cold
Like I was buried in the snow
But then I felt the hand from many moons ago
On a path to divine, I remembered that in time
I would make a home and wed this half of mine
And so a legacy was born, to help me through this winter storm
Found a reason, a reason to hold on
Whatever it is, whatever you said
Will it hurt to reach out here to make amends?
Running out of time, out of time for a godsend
I'll show my love to the very end
However it goes, however they leave
Do they deserve to hold on to a part of me?
Running out of time, out of time for a godsend
I'll show my love to the very end
Whatever it is, whatever you said
Will it hurt to reach out here to make amends?
Running out of time, out of time for a godsend
I'll show my love to the very end
However it goes, however they leave
Do they deserve to hold on to a part of me?
Running out of time, out of time for a godsend
I'll show my love to the very end
