Kool Moe Dee, eigentlich Mohandas Dewese, ist ein amerikanischer Rapper und Musikproduzent aus New York City. Geboren 1964 gilt er als einer der Pioniere des Old-School-Raps, bekannt für seine komplexen Reimstrukturen und seinen aggressiven Flow. Seine Karriere begann in den 1980er Jahren bei den Treacherous Three, einer Gruppe, die maßgeblich zur Definition der Ästhetik und des Stils des New Yorker Hip-Hop-Underground beitrug. Nach seinem Ausstieg aus der Gruppe startete Kool Moe Dee eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere und veröffentlichte Alben wie "How Ya Like Me Now?" (1987) und "Wild Wild West" (1989). Bekannt wurde er durch seine Singles "Go See the Doctor", "The Bridge is Over" und "Wild Wild West".
