Jason Derulo, geboren Jason Joel Desrouleaux am 21. September 1989, ist ein amerikanischer Sänger, Songwriter, Schauspieler und Tänzer. Nach der Produktion von Alben für mehrere Künstler und dem Schreiben von Songs für Cash Money Records, den Co-Gründer des Labels Birdman, Lil Wayne, den Besitzer von Young Money Entertainment, und den Rapper Diddy, unterschrieb Derulo bei dem kleineren Plattenlabel Beluga Heights. Nachdem Beluga Heights Teil der Warner Music Group wurde, veröffentlichte Derulo im Mai 2009 seine Debutsingle "Whatcha Say".
