Sometimes I cry
When it becomes in, babe
Most things I buy
Be the truth, babe
I know we've been together a while
And if you act right
Girl, you just might
Find what love is about
(CHORUS)
You're mad, but you grin
That's what love is about
Tucking our children in
That's what love is about
Going to church again
That's what love is about
When all of this playing ends
That's what love is about
Five years I tried
I could read your mind
But the last two, you knew
Girl, that I was trying
All the little games
And you stayed by my side
'Cuz you had no doubt
That you'd find out
Just what love is about
(CHORUS)
Love is about peace, girl
In your home, yes it is, baby
Love is about me, girl
All about you and me
Love is about you girl
Love is about we girl
(CHORUS)
Changing this fella to a man
That's what love is about
When you're just mad with your friends
That's what love is about
Make this house home again
That's what love is about
Hugging your mother again
That's what love is about
Holding your girl in the mall
That's what love is about
Showin' your brothers how to ball
That's what love is about
Picking you up when you fall
That's what love is about
Taking the time to call
That's what love is about
