Enya, bürgerlich Enya Patricia Brennan, ist eine irische Sängerin, Songwriterin und Musikerin, geboren in Gweedore, County Donegal, im Jahr 1960. Als eine der einflussreichsten Künstlerinnen der New-Age-Musik erlangte Enya in den 1980er Jahren internationale Bekanntheit durch ihren musikalischen Stil, der sich durch ätherische Melodien, orchestrale Arrangements und Texte in keltischen Sprachen oder erfundenen Sprachen auszeichnet. Ihre Musik wird oft mit einer entspannenden und nachdenklichen Atmosphäre assoziiert, die ideal für Meditationen oder die Schaffung einer suggestiven Umgebung ist.
