Biografia

Nelly Kim Furtado, geboren am 2. Dezember 1978 in Victoria, Kanada, ist eine international renommierte Sängerin und Songwriterin. Sie stammt aus portugiesischer Abstammung und ihre Musik vereint Einflüsse aus Pop, R and B, World Music und Hip-Hop. Ihr Debütalbum "Whoa, Nelly!" (2000) wurde ein riesiger Erfolg mit Hits wie "I'm Like a Bird" und "Turn Off the Light". Furtado veröffentlichte weiterhin sehr erfolgreiche Alben, darunter "Folklore" (2003) mit dem Single "Tryin' to Keep My Hands Off You" und "Loose" (2006), das weltweit die Charts dominierte mit Hits wie "Promiscuous" und "Say It Right". Im Laufe ihrer Karriere arbeitete Furtado mit bekannten Künstlern wie Timbaland, Justin Timberlake und Missy Elliott zusammen.
