Timo Kotipelto è un cantautore e musicista finlandese, noto soprattutto come voce principale della band power metal Stratovarius dal 1995. Nel 2001 ha dato vita al progetto solista Kotipelto, esplorando sonorità più melodiche e progressive rispetto a quelle del gruppo principale. Il suo stile vocale è caratterizzato da una grande potenza e un'ampia gamma, capace di passare da note acuti cristalline a registri profondi e drammatici. Oltre alla sua attività con Stratovarius e Kotipelto, ha collaborato con numerosi artisti finlandesi e internazionali, tra cui Nightwish e the Dark Moor.
