The Secret Handshake è stato un progetto musicale del cantautore e polistrumentista statunitense Luis Alberto Dubuc, attivo dal 2004 al 2011. Dubuc, originario di New York, ha composto e suonato tutti gli strumenti presenti nei dischi del gruppo, caratterizzati da un sound indie folk con influenze psichedeliche e progressive. Il progetto ha visto la luce dopo l'esperienza in altre band come The Black Angels e The Warlocks. La musica di The Secret Handshake è stata accolta positivamente dalla critica per la sua atmosfera onirica e le melodie avvolgenti.
