Testament ist eine US-amerikanische Thrash-Metal-Band, die 1983 in Santa Clara, Kalifornien, gegründet wurde. Sie gelten als einer der einflussreichsten Bands des Genres, erreichten jedoch nie den gleichen kommerziellen Erfolg wie Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth und Anthrax (die sogenannten „Big Four des Thrash“).
