The Automatic sind eine britische Indie-Rock-Band, die 2003 in Cowbridge, Wales, gegründet wurde. Ihr Sound zeichnet sich durch einen Mix aus Pop-Punk, New Wave und eingängigen Melodien aus. Die Band erreichte mit ihrem Debütalbum "The Automatic", das 2005 veröffentlicht wurde, den Durchbruch. Es verkaufte sich in Großbritannien über 100.000 Mal.
