Mark Schultz è un cantautore cristiano contemporaneo nato il 16 settembre 1970. Cresciuto a Colby, Kansas, si è laureato all'Università statale del Kansas con una laurea in marketing. Durante gli studi universitari è stato membro della fraternità Lambda Chi Alpha. Dopo la laurea si è trasferito a Nashville, Tennessee, dove ha lavorato per otto anni come leader di un gruppo di giovani presso la First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) di Nashville.
