I Moody Blues sono stati un gruppo rock, originario di Birmingham nel Regno Unito, fondato nel 1964 e attivo sino al 2018. Sulla fortunata onda beat generata da gruppi come i Beatles, Rolling Stones e The Who, anche i Moody Blues fecero parte della cosiddetta British invasion, ponendo inizialmente le loro radici nel rhythm and blues per poi giungere successivamente al rock psichedelico e a quello progressivo, grazie ad un sound caratterizzato dall'uso del mellotron. Questo fu il marchio di fabbrica della band nel periodo che va dal 1967 al 1974.
