The Libertines sind eine englische Indie-Rock-Band, die 1997 in London gegründet wurde. Die ursprüngliche Besetzung bestand aus Pete Doherty (Gesang, Gitarre), Carl Barat (Gitarre, Gesang), John Hassall (Bass) und Gary Powell (Schlagzeug).
