They say He was a preacher
Runnin' rebels out of homes
Whisperin' 'bout mercy
Screamin' fire and brimstone
They say that He would judge you
Weigh your right and wrongs
Sell you on salvation
Then say you're too far gone
Whoa oh oh oh
That ain't the truth
Whoa oh oh I'm telling you
The Jesus I know
Sits at the table with the sinner
No soul
Is so low He won't deliver
If they tell you where you are is somewhere He'll never go
Then they don't know
The Jesus I know
He hears you when you're prayin'
When you don't know the words
When you're at your lowest
He'll get down in the dirt
He's got a reputation
Of rollin' hearts of stone
Everything changes when you know
The Jesus I know
Sits at the table with the sinner
No soul
Is so low He won't deliver
If they tell you where you are is somewhere He'll never go
Then they don't know
The Jesus I know
Whoa oh oh oh
You ain't alone
Whoa oh oh
The devil don't want you to know
The Jesus I know
Whoa oh oh oh
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
Sits at the table with the sinners
No no soul so low He won't deliver
If they tell you where you are is somewhere He'll never go
Then they don't know
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
The Jesus I know
