Texas è una rock band scozzese proveniente da Bearsden, Glasgow. Fondata nel 1986 da Johnny McElhone (ex Altered Images e Hipsway), il gruppo ha esordito dal vivo a marzo del 1988 all'Università di Dundee in Scozia. Il nome deriva dal film del 1984 *Paris, Texas* di Wim Wenders.
