Mary Chapin Carpenter è una cantautrice e chitarrista americana, nata a 1958 a Princeton, New Jersey. Conosciuta per il suo songwriting introspettivo e la sua voce calda e rassicurante, ha raggiunto un grande successo negli anni '90 con album come "Time*Sex*Love" (1992) e "Stones in the Road" (1994).
