Angela Kinczly è una cantautrice italiana nata e residente a Brescia. Sebbene il cognome tradisca le sue origini ungheresi, la sua musica riflette un'ampia gamma di influenze, spaziando dall'elettronica al folk, passando per il jazz. Inizia lo studio della musica da bambina con clarinetto e chitarra, diplomandosi in chitarra classica presso il conservatorio cittadino. Dopo aver frequentato diverse esperienze musicali, tra cui cantine rock, formazioni cameristiche e marching band, inizia a scrivere canzoni di suo pugno alla chitarra e ad esibirsi in duo con il chitarrista Maurizio Rinaldi. Nel 2007 pubblica il suo primo album, "The Legendary Indian Aquarium and Other Stories", prodotto da Isacco Zanola per Kandinsky Records. Il disco riceve ottime recensioni e viene definito 'elettrofolk' per la sua miscela di generi e idiomi. L'attività promozionale si basa principalmente su concerti nel circuito indie e interviste per radio e giornali. Nel 2008 Robert Kirby, collaboratore di Nick Drake, scrive un arrangiamento orchestrale di un brano di Angela, "Jane's Choice", eseguito durante una serata in omaggio a Drake con l'orchestra diretta da Kirby stesso.
