Volbeat ist eine dänische Rockband, die 2001 in Kopenhagen gegründet wurde. Ihr Sound verbindet Elemente des frühen Rock 'n' Roll, Heavy Metal und Rockabilly und schöpft Inspiration aus Legenden wie Metallica, Social Distortion, Elvis Presley und Johnny Cash. Die Band besteht aus dem Sänger und Gitarristen Michael Poulsen, dem Gitarristen Thomas Bredahl, dem Bassisten Anders Kjolholm und dem Schlagzeuger Jon Larsen. Volbeat ist bei dem niederländischen Label Mascot Records unter Vertrag und hat drei Studioalben und ein DVD veröffentlicht. Alle ihre Studioalben wurden in Dänemark mit Gold ausgezeichnet, während ihr zweites Album *Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil* Platin erreichte. Laut den Aussagen von Poulsen auf einem Konzert im Ruisrock 2009 hat Volbeat in zwei Ländern – Dänemark und Finnland – zertifizierte Goldplatten verkauft.
