Pentatonix ist eine amerikanische Vokalgruppe a cappella, die 2011 in Arlington, Texas, gegründet wurde. Die Gruppe besteht aus Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Matt Sallee und Kevin Olusola. Sie erlangte internationale Bekanntheit durch ihre Fähigkeit, originelle und überraschende Arrangements von Pop-, Klassik- und Weihnachtsliedern zu kreieren. Pentatonix hat drei Grammy Awards gewonnen: 2015 für das beste Arrangement, Instrumental oder A Cappella für "Daft Punk", 2016 für die beste zeitgenössische christliche Musikperformance/Song für "Hallelujah" und 2017 für das beste Arrangement, Instrumental oder A Cappella für "The Sound of Silence". Ihr Debütalbum "PTX Volume 1" war ein sofortiger Erfolg, gefolgt von anderen Alben wie "PTXmas", "That's Christmas to Me" und "Close Harmony".
