Amorphis ist eine finnische Metal-Band, die 1990 von Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari und Esa Holopainen gegründet wurde. Anfänglich ein Death-Metal-Act, entwickelte sich Amorphis später zu anderen Genres wie Progressive Metal und Folk Metal, wobei er immer noch starke Wurzeln im Heavy Metal hat.
