Staind ist eine amerikanische Post-Grunge-Band, die 1993 in Springfield, Massachusetts, gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus Aaron Lewis (Gesang), Mike Mushok (Gitarre), Johnny April (Bass) und Jon Wysocki (Schlagzeug). In den späten 1990er und frühen 2000er Jahren erreichten sie mit Alben wie *Dysfunction* (1999) und *Break the Cycle* (2003) großen Erfolg. Diese Alben waren sowohl kommerzielle Erfolge als auch kritische Anerkennung und verkauften weltweit Millionen von Exemplaren, wobei *Dysfunction* 2 und *Break the Cycle* 5 Platin-Zertifizierungen erhielten. Zu ihren bekanntesten Songs gehören "It's Been Awhile", "Outside", "So Far Away" und "For Always".
