Possessed è una storica band di death metal americana formatasi nel 1983 a San Francisco. Considerati pionieri del genere per il loro stile veloce e aggressivo, guidato dalla voce gutturale di Jeff Becerra, hanno influenzato profondamente la scena musicale successiva.
