Talking Heads sind eine amerikanische Rockband, die 1975 in New York gegründet wurde. Als Pioniere des Art-Rocks kombinierten sie Einflüsse aus Post-Punk, Funk, Weltmusik und experimenteller Musik zu einem einzigartigen und innovativen Sound. Die Band bestand aus David Byrne (Gesang, Gitarre), Chris Frantz (Schlagzeug), Tina Weymouth (Bass) und Jerry Harrison (Keyboards, Synthesizer). Besonderes Augenmerk wurde auf den theatralischen Aspekt ihrer Auftritte gelegt, mit elaborierten Choreografien und exzentrischen Kostümen.
