The Halo Friendlies sono un gruppo musicale pop-punk femminile originario di Long Beach, California. La formazione è nata nel 1998 grazie a Judita Wignall, che dopo aver preso in prestito una chitarra durante un appuntamento con il futuro marito Matt Wignall (membro di Havalina/Matt Death and the New Intellectuals), decise di formare una band. Il primo album omonimo del 1998 vedeva Wignall alla voce e alla chitarra, Cheryl Hecht alla chitarra, Natalie Bolanos al basso e Deanna Moody alla batteria. Nel 1999, con l'album *Acid Wash*, Hecht lasciò il gruppo per essere sostituita da Ginger Reyes, che si unì a Wignall nella divisione dei cori e assunse il basso, permettendo a Bolanos di passare alla chitarra principale. Nel 2000 Christina Theobald/Hock entrò a far parte del gruppo come batterista, ma fu presto sostituita da Claudia Rossi (ex-Jack Off Jill) prima del tour britannico del 2003. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano *The Halo Friendlies*, *Acid Wash* e *Sugar*.
