The Presets sind ein australisches Duo aus Sydney, bestehend aus Julian Hamilton und Kim Moyes. Sie lernten sich 1995 am Sydney Conservatorium of Music kennen, wo sie beide Musik studierten. Im September 2005 veröffentlichten sie ihr Debütalbum *Beams*, das eine positive Resonanz bei Kritikern fand. Ihr zweites Album, *Apocaylpso*, erschien am 12. April 2008.
