Aqua ist eine dänische Euro-Pop-Dance-Gruppe, die in den 1990er Jahren gegründet wurde. Bekannt für ihren weltweiten Hit „Barbie Girl“, der aus ihrem Debütalbum Aquarium (1997) stammt, veröffentlichte die Gruppe ein zweites Album, Aquarius (2000), bevor sie sich 2001 aufgrund interner Konflikte auflöste. Die Trennung wurde durch die romantische Beziehung zwischen der Sängerin Lene Nystrøm und dem Gitarristen und Songwriter Søren Rasted verursacht, was zu Eifersucht mit dem Bandgründer René Dif führte.
