BR5-49 ist eine amerikanische Country-Musikband, die 1993 gegründet wurde. Die Band, ursprünglich bestehend aus Gary Bennett (Gesang und Backing Vocals, Akustikgitarre), Don Herron (Steel Guitar, Dobro, Geige, Mandoline, Akustikgitarre), "Smilin'" Jay McDowell (Standbass), Chuck Mead (Lead- und Backing Vocals, Akustikgitarre, E-Gitarre) und "Hawk" Shaw Wilson (Schlagzeug, Backing Vocals), erlangte in den 1990er Jahren Popularität mit einem traditionellen Countrysound, der von Rockabilly beeinflusst wurde. 2001 verließen Bennett und McDowell die Band und wurden durch Chris Scruggs und Geoff Firebaugh ersetzt.
