Roberto Tardito è un musicista, cantautore e biografo italiano nato a Roma nel 1958. Si distingue per la sua ricerca musicale incentrata sul recupero e l'interpretazione della tradizione musicale europea, spesso con un approccio sperimentale. La sua carriera artistica si sviluppa attraverso diversi album da solista, caratterizzati da una forte componente poetica e da arrangiamenti originali che mescolano elementi folk, jazz e musica classica. Tra i suoi lavori più noti figurano l'album "La voce del vento" (1987) e il progetto "Il canto della terra" (2003), incentrato sulla riscoperta di canti popolari italiani. Nel 1996 ha partecipato al progetto WE7 di Peter Gabriel, collaborando con artisti internazionali come Youssou N'Dour e Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Oltre alla musica, Tardito si dedica anche alla scrittura biografica, pubblicando saggi e libri su musicisti e compositori italiani.
