A1 ist eine britisch/norwegische Boyband, die 1998 gegründet wurde. Die Band bestand aus Mark Read, Paul Marazzi, Ben Adams und Christian Ingebrigtsen. Ihr Debütsingle "Be the First to Believe" erreichte Anfang 1999 Platz 6 der UK Singles Chart. Sie hatten mit zwei Nummer-eins-Hits und acht Top-10-Hits einen relativen Erfolg in den Charts. 2001 gewannen sie einen BRIT Award als "British Breakthrough Act". Die Band wurde vom Musikmanager Tim Byrne gegründet, der auch Steps gründete. A1s Karriere endete, als das Gründungsmitglied Paul Marazzi 2002 die Band verließ und sich die Band daraufhin auflöste. Im August 2009 gaben sie bekannt, dass sie ohne Marazzi für eine Reihe von Konzerten in Oslo im Dezember 2009 im Christiania Theatre zurückkehren würden. Seit ihrem Comeback haben sie bereits zwei neue Singles veröffentlicht: "Take You Home" und "Don't Wanna Lose You Again". Ihr neues Album wurde im Oktober 2010 veröffentlicht.
