Queensrÿche ist eine amerikanische Heavy-Metal-Band, die 1981 in Bellevue, Washington, gegründet wurde. Als Pioniere des Progressive Metals sind sie für ihre musikalischen Komplexitäten, epischen Texte und die unverwechselbare Stimme von Geoff Tate bekannt. Ihr Debütalbum *The Queensrÿche* erschien 1983, gefolgt von Hits wie *Rage for Order* (1986) und *Operation: Mindcrime* (1988), das letztere als Meisterwerk des Genres gilt.
