Quincy Delight Jones Jr. (1933) ist ein legendärer Arrangeur, Dirigent, Musikproduzent, Komponist, Trompeter und Aktivist aus den Vereinigten Staaten. Als einer der einflussreichsten Produzenten der Geschichte hat er Jazz, Soul- und R and B-Musik nachhaltig geprägt. Jones arbeitete mit weltberühmten Künstlern wie Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles und Ella Fitzgerald zusammen und prägte den Musiksound der 1970er und 1980er Jahre maßgeblich. Zu seinen wichtigsten Alben zählen *The Dude* (1974) und *Back on the Block* (1989), das letztere gewann acht Grammy Awards. Zu seinen bekanntesten Kompositionen gehören "I'll Be There" (Jackson 5), "Ai No Corrida" (Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass) und "The Secret Garden Suite".
