Bane ist eine Hardcore-Punk-Band aus Worcester, Massachusetts, die in den 1990er Jahren gegründet wurde. Das ursprüngliche Kernstück bestand aus Aaron Dalbec (ex Converge) und Damon Bellardo, die als Nebenprojekt begannen. Nach einer kurzen Phase mit Matt Firestone am Gesang stabilisierte sich die Besetzung durch den Beitritt von Aaron Bedard (ex Backbone). 1996 erschien ihre erste EP, gefolgt von zahlreichen Konzerten in Zentral-Massachusetts.
