Dirty Projectors sind eine experimentelle Rockband mit Sitz in Brooklyn, geleitet von Dave Longstreth. Gegründet 2001, ist die Gruppe für ihre vielseitige Musik bekannt, die Elemente des Indie-Rocks, Folk, Elektronik und Avantgarde verbindet. Die aktuelle Besetzung umfasst Longstreth, Amber Coffman (Gesang, Gitarre), Angel Deradoorian (Gesang, Keyboard, Samples, Gitarre, Bass), Brian McOmber (Schlagzeug), Nat Baldwin (Bass) und Haley Dekle (Gesang). Dirty Projectors haben bis 2010 sieben Studioalben veröffentlicht, darunter "Bitte Orca" (2009), das als eines ihrer einflussreichsten Werke gilt.
