Primal Scream è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Glasgow nel 1982. Considerati pionieri del movimento shoegaze negli anni '90, hanno poi esplorato generi come l'elettronica e la psichedelia. Il loro sound si caratterizza per una potente energia rock, influenze psicodali e un uso innovativo di sintetizzatori. La formazione originale comprendeva Bobby Gillespie (voce), Andrew Innes (chitarra), Jim Beattie (basso) e Martin Duffy (tastiere). Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Loaded", "Movin' On Up" e "Come Together". L'album "Screamadelica" del 1991, considerato un capolavoro del genere acid house, ha consacrato il gruppo al successo internazionale.
