Biografia

Hot Chip ist eine britische elektronische Musikband, die 2001 in London gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus Alexis Taylor (Gesang), Joe Goddard (Keyboards, Synthesizer), Al Doyle (Gitarre, Keyboards) und Tom Hughes (Schlagzeug). Bekannt ist Hot Chip für seine energiegeladenen Dance-Pop-Rhythmen, eingängigen Melodien und nachdenklichen Texten. Nach der Selbstveröffentlichung mehrerer Alben erlangte Hot Chip 2006 mit dem Single "Over and Over" den kommerziellen Durchbruch, der vom NME zum Single des Jahres gekürt wurde. Ihr Debütalbum "Coming on Strong", das im selben Jahr erschien, festigte ihre Position in der britischen elektronischen Musikszene. Zu ihren bekanntesten Songs gehören auch "Ready for the Floor", "Boy from School" und "The Warning". Hot Chip veröffentlicht weiterhin erfolgreiche Alben und arbeitet mit Künstlern wie LCD Soundsystem und The Chemical Brothers zusammen.
