Thursday ist eine amerikanische Post-Hardcore-Band aus New Brunswick, die 1997 gegründet wurde. Obwohl sie chronologisch zur zweiten Welle des Emo gehört, hebt sich die Band durch einen Sound ab, der eher an Fugazi und Post-Hardcore erinnert und die typischen Indie-Rock-Einflüsse des Emo-Genres vermeidet. Thursday besteht aus sechs Musikern und hat seit seinem Debüt die gleiche Besetzung beibehalten, außer für einen Gitarrenwechsel zwischen Bill Henderson und Steve Pedulla Anfang 2001. Die Band veröffentlichte fünf Studioalben, vier EPs und im Jahr 2008 ein Split-Album mit der japanischen Post-Hardcore-Band Envy. Zu den bekanntesten Songs gehören "Understanding in a Car Crash", "War All the Time" und "The Kill of Us All".
