Biffy Clyro, più comunemente conosciuti come Biffy, sono un gruppo rock scozzese formatosi nel 1995 a Kilmarnock da Simon Neil e dai gemelli James e Ben Johnston. Il nome del gruppo nasce dalla volontà di non essere limitati a un solo genere musicale e di sfuggire alle classificazioni rigide. Nel corso della loro carriera, Biffy Clyro hanno attraversato diverse fasi stilistiche, partendo dal hardcore/rock sperimentale degli esordi (come l'EP *Iname* del 1999) fino ad arrivare al sound più mainstream delle loro ultime produzioni. Nonostante le origini modeste, il gruppo ha raggiunto un grande successo commerciale e di critica, scalando le classifiche britanniche (raggiungendo la quinta posizione) e esibendosi in grandi venues come l'SECC di Glasgow.
