Charon è un gruppo musicale finlandese di gothic metal formatosi a Helsinki nel 1997. Il loro stile musicale fonde elementi di heavy metal, doom metal e gothic rock, caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe e melodie malinconiche. Il nome del gruppo deriva dal personaggio mitologico greco Charone, il traghetto che trasportava le anime dei morti nell'Ade. Tearstained, pubblicato nel 2000, è il loro secondo album in studio e ha contribuito a consolidare la loro posizione nel panorama metal europeo. Tra i brani più rappresentativi del gruppo si annoverano "The Last Goodbye", "Tears of the Fallen" e "In My Dreams".
