The Rasmus sono un gruppo musicale rock alternativo finlandese formatosi a Helsinki nel 1994. Il gruppo, inizialmente noto come Rasmus, ha cambiato nome all'atto della firma del contratto con la casa discografica svedese Playground. La formazione originale comprendeva Lauri Ylönen (voce), Pauli Rantasalmi (chitarra), Eero Heinonen (basso) e Jarno Lahti (batteria).
