La Crus sono un gruppo musicale italiano rock formatosi nel 1987 da Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi (voce, chitarra) e Cesare Malfatti (basso). Alessandro Cremonesi, autore di molti testi del gruppo, ha contribuito alla formazione a tutti gli effetti ma non ha mai partecipato direttamente alla vita pubblica del gruppo. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da atmosfere dark e introspettive, con influenze post-punk e progressive rock. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "L'amore è un'arma", "La mia generazione" e "Un giorno di sole". L'album di debutto, "La Crus", uscito nel 1989, ha riscosso un discreto successo. Nel corso degli anni il gruppo ha pubblicato altri album apprezzati dalla critica, come "Il cielo è blu" (1992) e "Le parole che non ho detto" (1995). La Crus hanno collaborato con artisti come Franco Battiato e i Negrita. Malfatti si è dedicato a una carriera solista dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo nel 2003.
