Mae ist eine amerikanische Rockband, die 2001 in Norfolk, Virginia gegründet wurde. Der Bandname ist ein Akronym für „Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience“, inspiriert von einem Kurs, den der Schlagzeuger Jacob Marshall während seines Studiums an der Old Dominion University besuchte. Der Sound von Mae zeichnet sich durch eine Fusion aus Indie-Rock, Emo und Post-Rock mit progressiven und experimentellen Einflüssen aus.
