The Cat Empire ist eine australische Band aus Melbourne, die für ihren vielseitigen Stil bekannt ist, der Elemente von Jazz, Ska, Funk und Weltmusik verbindet. Gegründet 1999 besteht die Gruppe aus Felix Riebl (Percussion und Gesang), Harry James Angus (Trompete und Gesang), Ollie McGill (Keyboard und Backing Vocals), Ryan Monro (Bass und Backing Vocals), Will Hull-Brown (Schlagzeug) und Jamshid "Jumps" Khadiwhala (Turntables, Percussion).
