I confess, this is probably a strange way to start
But I think I'm at my best when it's straight from my heart
I don't pretend that I'm an expert on the subject
Or try to enforce judgment with my broken moral compass
I've got a couple questions about the standards
I'm guessin' I don't really want the answers
'Cause you can take a trip around your yard
And come back to find another farmer diggin' out your garden
A little observation taught me that it's probably
Impossible to live up to whatever y'all want me to copy
That's how my posse got tight and definitive
I'd rather be kickin' it with my wife and my kids

Thanks for selecting fight or flights
Place your baggage overhead, fasten your seatbelts tight
Welcome aboard to all the staff and the passengers
Appreciate your trust as we travel through the atmosphere
There's really not much to discuss
It's just a war that's goin' on between the ego and the need for love
And if you've needed a crutch to keep your head up
I hope that it's stronger than a thousand red cups
Let's keep it movin', let's seek improvement
Let's reach a space where we can make believe it's beautiful
It's cool you tried to cast me as the asshole
I'm obviously qualified to portray that role

I'm always down to take half of the blame
But I'm not your accident that happened in the rain
I'm not the snake that convinced you to taste the apple of shame
Got you starin' at the ground like it's nothing but a G-thang
Praise the lord and thanks for the support
Dealin' with the devil got a double-edged sword
Orchestrate the fortune tellers, power up the orbs
Prayers for some moisture to absorb into their pores

Everybody hold your square, this ain't an exhibition
Don't mistake my circle as the shape of repetition
Wasted all your wishes tryin' to get into position
Listening to echoes inside of the tunnel vision
Have you ever lost faith in the things that you held sacred?
Stop compensating for all of your self-hatred
There's no safe place to protect these witnesses
From all the contradictions embedded into your shittiness

Man, listen, this is not a criticism
It's just an opinion, it's like an asshole
If it's none of your business, take a number and sit this one down
Stop sniffin' around other people's assholes
I fully understand why you're dismissive
But it fits into the image you project of an asshole
Stop tryin' to diagnose your symptoms
Somebody call a physician and check that asshole

That's why the mascot thinks that I'm an asshole
