Grade è stato un gruppo hardcore canadese attivo tra la fine degli anni '90 e l'inizio degli anni 2000. Il loro debutto risale al 1994 con il split album "Grade/Believe", pubblicato dall'etichetta Workshop Records. Nel 1997 hanno seguito con "And Such Is Progress" e nel 1998 con "Separate the Magnets", che ha attirato l'attenzione della critica e li ha portati a condividere il palco con band come Jimmy Eat World, Hot Water Music e Fugazi. Nel 1999 hanno firmato con Victory Records, pubblicando l'EP "Triumph and Tragedy" e l'album in studio "Under the Radar". Nel 2000 è uscito "The Embarrassing Beginning", una raccolta di brani precedenti e rarità. Nel 2001 il chitarrista originale Greg Taylor ha lasciato il gruppo per dedicarsi a Jersey full time, sostituito da Brad Casarin. Chris Danner si è poi ritirato, dando spazio a Charlie Moniz per l'album "Headfirst Straight to Hell".
