Gentle Giant è stato un gruppo musicale britannico attivo tra il 1968 e il 1980, considerato uno dei pilastri del progressive rock. Composto dai fratelli scozzesi Phil, Derek e Ray Shulman, insieme a Gary Green e Kerry Minnear, il gruppo si distinse per la complessità musicale, l'influenza di stili classici e jazz e testi spesso ispirati a temi filosofici, personali e alla letteratura di François Rabelais.
