Biografia

t.A.T.u. ist ein russisches Pop-Duo, das 1999 von Elena Katina und Yulia Volkova gegründet wurde, die beide Teenager waren, als sie debütierten. Der Gruppe gelang es, internationale Bekanntheit zu erlangen, dank ihrer eingängigen Synth-Pop-Musik und einer umstrittenen provokanten Image, die die Legende einer lesbischen Beziehung befeuert (nie bestätigt). Obwohl ihre Songs oft für oberflächliche Texte kritisiert wurden, verkaufte t.A.T.u. Millionen von Platten weltweit und wurde zu einem der beliebtesten Musikgruppen der 2000er Jahre. Zu ihren bekanntesten Liedern gehören "All the Things She Said", "Not Gonna Get Us" und "30 Minutes". Ihr Debütalbum "200 km/h in the Wrong Lane" (2001) war ein internationaler Erfolg und festigte ihren Status als Pop-Ikonen.
